After the titans lost 55-14 the spirits were low, but instead of quitting the Titans turned their attention forward to finish their 2025 season strong. So far during the month of October, the Titans have been facing a lot of external pressures such as injuries and close defeats, which has forced the team to focus on their team culture and look for ways to improve.
After talking to Head Coach Brenton “BJ” Hagood he explains that the team's growth isn’t just measured in points. “We’ve had tough games, but my players hold each other accountable and put in the work. That’s the type of team that lasts.” he said. Underclassmen players have also stepped up in taking responsibility and ownership during the game. Cash, a senior, has taken on the responsibility of being the quarterback on JV and has been calling out plays and providing motivation to all his teammates.
Varsity have also been putting in the work as they frequently work out together as a team to build up their strength and team bond. After speaking with several varsity players they all agreed that their workouts are crucial. Jai Boone (11), a junior on varsity says the the workouts have helped build up his endurance and stamina when going against difficult opponents
These changes to their team have helped the Titans improve and have led them to winning their 3 most recent games. 42-29 against Dougherty Valley, 26-20 against Saint Mary’s and 13-3 against Newark Memorial High. Even though the beginning of the season challenged the Titans their resilience has shined through and led the team to success proving that when discipline meets skill they can win. As the team enters their final weeks the titans will continue to develop as a team and grow. Go Titans!
